Conference app

We teamed up with CrowdCompass to build an app that will make this year’s experience valuable for our attendees, exhibitors, and speakers. The app includes networking, schedules, social media and much more at the palm of your hand.

The event app will help you find your way around the congress, and you can use it to build your own schedule for the congress.

It’s available for Android and Apple, so download it now and start to get organized!

DOWNLOAD THE APP

With the app you can:

  • Access the event schedule and customize your agenda with personal appointments
  • See all the speakers
  • Get important updates and exciting offers through the app through Push Notifications
  • See who’s attending and share contact information by networking with other attendees

If you need help navigating the app, we will have assistants at the congress  who can guide you.

Name of app in App store/Google Play

If you search for the app directly in Google Play Store or Apple App Store, you need to search for CrowdCompass AttendeeHub. This is a container-app, and you can serarch for ICSEI 2019 on the inside once you download the AttendeeHub-app.

You can also access all app-content online in a desktop version:

App security

The app is published as a container app, through a company called Cvent Crowd Compass. . This means that Cvent provides the framework, and ICSEI provides the content.

Cvent goes beyond the minimal requirements to ensure that data is safe with ISO 27001:2013 compliance.

Cvent and their products are in compliance the EU GDPR. Additionally, the US Department of Commerce has approved Cvent’s Privacy Shield certifications. Cvent worked with TRUSTe to review and verify compliance with the EU-US and the Swiss-US Privacy Shield frameworks. For more information and details regarding this, please see https://www.cvent.com/uk/gdpr/learn-more.shtml

As for the permissions that are asked for in the app itself, these are needed for the various uses of the app. It is also possible to simply not log into the app, and exclude yourself from all of this. You will miss out on a few of the features, like making a personal schedule, contacting other attendees etc – but you will still have full access to all the information given in the app /(Except for the list of the attendees.) From ICSEI’s side, each attendee’s profile and contact details are kept private until the attendee decides themselves to share these.

Only people who are on the registration lists from ICSEI are able to ask for verification codes to enable them to log on to the app.

The app will never post to Facebook or Twitter for you unless you decide to do so yourself.

Cvent has provided a list of the different permissions that are asked for, and explains what they are for. You can get the overview here: https://docs.crowdcompass.com/pages/permissions
